I’m a Chicago, IL transplant originally from Boston, MA with 15+ years of nonprofit fundraising, external affairs, strategic communications, and project management experience. I’ve spent much of my career in the education space, working with a variety of organizations that are all ensuring in their own ways that all students receive the resources, support, and championship they deserve to achieve their biggest dreams.
My passion is planning and writing for missions I care about deeply. I geek out at the chance to take in huge amounts of information and synthesize it into stories, pitches, strategic plans, proposals, impact snapshots, etc. that inform, motivate, and inspire others to take action. And, I know how pivotal the planning and strategy behind the way we share stories and build relationships with prospective partners are.
I’m a cat-turned-dog-person, and you can often catch me in Chicago’s Avondale neighborhood strolling with my daughter Mackenzie, mini Aussie Shepherd “Eleanor Rigby,” and husband Andy. I’m also always looking for my next reading adventure in the Chicago Public Library stacks…please share if you’ve read something you’ve loved recently!
